All of our clients undergo stringent analysis before starting any physical training - we don't jump into anything without truly understanding your unique situation first.

Our team will run through full history of medical conditions, previous or current injuries, and any issues or limitations being experienced first.

From there, we then do static and dynamic postural analysis to assess how your body moves with specific movement patterns.

We assess where the weakness, tightness and strengths are in your body, and then work out what stretches, activation drills, and exercises will have the most benefit.

Then we look at which movements or exercises that should be avoided because they may make the issues and dysfunctions we have assessed worse.

Every person is unique in terms of genetics, medical conditions, injuries, career, and previous experience with training - so as a result, it requires a unique approach each time to get the best result.

When there are injuries that need to be addressed, we use a systematic approach to ensure nothing gets missed:

1. Get a full history of the injury and what limitations it has caused

2. Identify what postural discrepancies it has caused

3. What physical limitations the client has

4. Assess range of motion, strength, stability and weakness in that area

5. Create a plan that will help increase range of motion, stability and strength

6. We start by training in isolation, where we can focus on each area or muscle individually

7. Then we work in integration, introducing functional movements to your training, to get you back to being able to do everyday movements again with confidence and pain free

8. We then switch to maintenance programs, so that you can learn how to be able to manage your issue and keep the results long term

Tracey came in after being referred to us by her sons. She works in a large commercial gym, has been focused on exercise and nutrition for decades, and was sick of not getting the results she was working so hard for. Tracey came in with a chronic hip injury that she has had issues with for over 9 years, including an operation that didn't help her. Her hip was in such bad shape, that she couldn't get herself up off the floor without having to use chairs or tables to prop herself up with. She knew she had to do something once she needed a disabled sticker for her car, so she didn't have to walk so far. That was her breaking point. Michael working on Knee stabilisation after dislocating his knee 4 weeks prior to starting up with us. With the intensive rehab program that Michael did, he was able to get back to sports and normal life weeks before his doctors and physio had predicted. Peter came in for some help with his knee. He had a full knee replacement about 6 months prior to coming in. He was experiencing a lot of complications with fluid retention, severe pain and restriction in movement. Within 6 months, Peter was able to have full capacity with his knee. It was as strong as the other knee and almost the same range of motion. During his rehab process, we also worked on his nutrition and full body training. He was not only successful at rehabilitating his knee, but he also lost 10kg of fat in the process.

Coach Ben working with Jess on her knee strength and stabilisation after her ACL tear. After her surgery, Jess came in to help get her knee back to strength and stability and to get back into playing sports. We started by isolating the knee and working on hip and ankle mobility and stability. Then once we had improvement in isolation, we started working in integration by introducing regular movement patterns and exercises. Here you can see Jess working on knee flexion in a lunge position, while her coach is adding lateral force to improve stability in the knee.
